Kim Hyun-joong to make film debut

Actors Su-ae and Kim, Hyun-joong, from left, picked as lead roles of an upcoming movie.
[Asia Economic Daily]
Kim Hyun-joong, leader of Korean boy band SS501, will soon make his big screen debut, according to a source on Monday.
An associate of the film said Kim has been picked to lead the cast of film "You're My Pet" opposite top actress Su-ae in the film directed by Kim Byung-gon.
The movie is based on Japanese TV series "Trams Like Us" broadcast on TBS in 2003, which itself was based on an original comic series by Yayoi Ogawa.
The movie is about unexpected love between a successful, smart and good-looking fashion magazine editor and a handsome guy who is adopted as a pet to the successful woman.
"We haven't completely finished working on the contract but we'll be done by the end of this week," said a representative from Kim's agency DSP Media.
As a member of the popular five-member K-pop band, Kim Hyun-joong also debuted as an actor early this year through hit KBS TV series "Boys Over Flowers".

all i can say is KYAAAAAAA~~~~
after the role of rui in the korean version of HYD the leader of my fave korean group is doing a movie remake of jun's kimi wa petto!!!
the hurdle is quite high uri hyunie...matsujun is a tough act to follow in this drama as far as i'm concerned. i hope you can do justice to his "momo charm"!!!
i wonder if they'll gonna put him in a box too??? he's quite too big to fit in momo's box. ^_^
can't wait to see this one...good luck hyun joong. aja, aja...fighting!!! (missed saying this line...haha!)
just for my reference..hehe! (credit: http://barbosa2007.livejournal.com/13300.html)
Q1: If you were a girl, which Arashi member would you date?
Ohno: Aiba-chan. I wanna go on a golf date with him!
Jun: I don’t want to date any one of them!
Sho: Nino. That guy does magic tricks, so it seems like he’ll pull out one or two when the conversation runs dry.
Nino: Everyone’s good looking so I’d go out with any one of them. (laughs)
Aiba: Nino, I guess… We like the same physical activities.
Q2: Conversely, which member wouldn’t you want to go out with?
Ohno: Myself. I think we’ll be fishing all the time and it’ll be boring.
Jun: Nino. He seems aloof and will immerse himself in games.
Sho: Ohno-kun. He has a lot of hobbies like drawing and fishing which he does all by himself!
Nino: No one, I think.
Aiba: No one! In fact, I think I could go out with all five of them! Ah, that would include myself, so I actually mean 4 of them. (laugh)
Q3: State 3 qualities about your type of girl.
Ohno: She must be gentle! I don’t really have 3 qualities. It’d be good if she’s gentle.
Jun: Someone who’s smart, is well-balanced and has an attractive personality.
Sho: She’ll be able to laugh, cry and be angered by the same things as myself.
Nino: A considerate girl who speaks Japanese and likes me.
Aiba: A girl with common sense, isn’t overbearing and is hardworking. I think my type of girl hasn’t changed from back then, basically.
Q4: What fashion would your type of girl sport?
Ohno: Casual and simple. Normalcy is the best way to go. When we’re together, just wear anything that’s easy-going without being over the top.
Jun: Something casual? That’s because I’m dressed in jeans and beach sandals today. (laughs)
Sho: Anything, as long as it suits her. But I do hope she considers the time, place and occasion!
Nino: I’m pretty much good with anything. As long as she wears it!
Aiba: I like people who enjoy a wide variety of fashion.
Q5: And the kind of gesture from your favourite girl would be?
Ohno: When she’s throwing something. When girls throw stuff, don’t their wrists become limp? It’s like there’s no snap to it at all. I like that!
Jun: Her attempt to hold onto her hair for dear life so that it doesn’t fall into her ramen? (laughs)
Sho: A cute sneeze that almost looks like it’s fake. (laughs) >>> i'll have to practice on this one..hehe!
Nino: Her smile. It’s not really considered a gesture, but nothing beats a heartfelt smile.
Aiba: I seriously have no idea!
Q6: During this period, where would you go on a date?
Ohno: The ocean! The sea at Shikoku sounds nice, though I’ve only been there for work.
Jun: I guess it’s either fireworks or the festival.
Sho: Barbeque. I just wanna get together with everyone and make lots of noise!
Nino: Kamakura! The ocean! They seem like the standard places to go. [translator’s note: Doesn’t Nino hate the ocean?!]
Aiba: An island. I wanna see the dolphins! >> i'll probably go with aiba on this one...i'd love to see the dolphins too
Q7: What kind of praise, when received from the girl you like, would make you happy?
Ohno: “You’re so silly.” (laughs)
Jun: It can be anything as long as she’s genuine about it.
Sho: “I saw you on XX.” Something like that? She doesn’t need to praise me specifically, the fact that she watched the show makes me happy. >> no problem w/ this one..hehe!
Nino: I’m a person who likes to be praised so she can say anything and it’ll make me happy. Like, “Wow, that was great.” I hope to be respected by the girl I like.
Aiba: I’m someone who thrives on praises so I basically welcome any type of praise!
practically everyone of them likes getting praised, ne. then again, who doesn't?
Q8: Which part of a woman would you look at when you meet her for the very first time?
Ohno: Her eyes. This isn’t any particular reason to it, my eyes would just meet hers naturally.
Jun: Her eyes. When we greet each other somehow our eyes would meet.
Sho: Her expression. That’s because their temperament will be reflected in their expression.
Nino: Her fingers. I’m mesmerised by hands which are fair, pretty and slender.
Aiba: Her eyes. I think there are unexpectedly very little people who look straight in the eye of the people they are talking to.
Q9: Do the members of Arashi discuss their love lives?
Ohno: I talked to Sho-kun before in the past. But I hardly talk to anyone about it now! Basically, I solve [all my issues] by myself.
Jun: We virtually don’t do it at all, though we might just discuss it with the person we’re with at that point in time?!
Sho: Although we’re really good pals, we just don’t talk about it since we’re all guys after all. (laughs)
Nino: Nope! We don’t do stuff like discuss our love lives or borrow money. (laughs)
Aiba: We don’t do it in particular, but I’d like to think that we could do it with any other member. It’d feel something like, “Hey, listen…”
Q10: What is love to you?
Ohno: Cooperation.
Jun: One of the three things I need in life. I feel that the big three are nature, work and love.
Sho: Probably comfort and stimulation. Although I would hate for it to be overly stimulating.
Nino: Something that’s good if you have it. I don’t really have a strong desire for love.
Aiba: Frankly speaking, it’s tough?! >> haha! nice one aiba!
just passing time at work and i stumbled upon this quiz: http://quizilla.teennick.com/quizzes/981071/define-your-stormy-dream-boy

couldn't be any happier...haha!!!
to the coolest riida i know...
OTANJOUBI OMEDETOU!!!
thanks for keeping the boys together!
i was telling my sister last night that i think it was ohno's fate to be arashi's leader. why? remember "their mom's" portrait in My Girl pv? they said it was made by putting together Arashi's different face parts altogether. i think what came out looks somewhat a female version of ohno-kun. for me it's kinda like saying ohno is the face of arashi...hehe!
non-arashi, non-japanese post...let's go back to korean mode...
i just finished watching the kdrama Shining Inheritance/Brilliant Legacy. i got curious about this drama since someone i know said it's like Full House. well, it doesn't really beat FH on my list but i liked it anyhow coz i think the story's nice. but somehow the male lead's (hwan) sagajji character & the male & female (eun sung) lead's constant fighting certainly reminded me of FH. not to mention the fact that lee seung gi (hwan) looks like Rain on certain angles (i just dunno if both of their fans would agree; anyway, it's just my opinion..hehe!). the only thing i didn't like was how pitiful the 2nd fiddle guy's (jun se) character was! i'm telling you, his character is not human...he's a saint!!! where in the world can you actually find somebody like that?!?! XD
at first i didn't like lee seung gi. i thought he didn't look handsome. but when i saw him singing & playing the guitar & piano i got curious. so i did some research, listened to his songs & watched some clips & voila...i'm a fan...haha! my friend said he looks like a certain goofy comedian from our country but i don't care...haha! well the guy doesn't only has talent (as a singer i think he has a great voice!), a sense of humor, but he's also smart (graduated w/ a degree & currently doing post grad studies, speaks good english & even knows japanese)!!!
well, i'm gonna post some of his songs & his clips here for you to enjoy (his clips w/ mc mong are really hilarious!!!):
my officemates & i went for a lunch out earlier. my officemate whom i'm slowly trying to convert into becoming an arashi fan (we watch arashi clips every lunch) treated us to Tokyo Tokyo (japanese fast food resto) since it's payday..hehe!
it's an unexpected happening since she rarely dishes out money (much like her fave arashi member - Nino). but what's more unexpected is that while we were on queue a familiar sound caught my attention. it was a bit noisy inside & their background music wasn't that clear so i had to strain a bit to hear/recognize the song. to my surprise it's an Arashi song (Pikanchi Double)!!!! i ran to my officemate who was saving our seats & told her Arashi's song is playing (she's seen several con clips & pvs too). then while we were eating i heard another familiar intro & true enough Sakura Sake played in the background. kyaaa!!!! i couldn't recognize the other songs but i assume they're japanese songs too..hehe!
i've eaten in a couple of japanese restos already & some really plays japanese songs but it's the first time that i actually heard an Arashi song. mecha ureshi!!! my tension really went up!! haha!
just a few simple reasons why i love these fab five:
1. they're simply adorkable

2. there's a lot of member love (or should i say ohmiya rabu?)

3. sometimes they're cool

4. but sometimes just plain..."baka" XD

5. they know how to parteh!!!

6. they're a bunch of BIG kids

7. did i say they're extra talented? XD

8. they sure know how to make themselves look stupid

9. arashi + kids = love <3

10. they make the most hilarious faces/expressions i've seen so far XD

11. but they can also be really cute

credit gifs to spazzcrack@lj
honestly i had so much laugh browsing the gifs. although i have seen most of the clips before already, it was really funny repeating some scenes over & over & in slow motion. it was pretty amusing too that i never noticed some of the "happenings" in the scenes when i watched it..XD
let me just shy away from arashi for now & go back to korean mode (thanks to a certain "someone"--hehehe)
personally, my heart just goes doki doki & my tension goes to a maximum high whenever a certain (non-english speaking) idol of mine says something in english or sings an english song
so let me just share a few perfs of my fave korean group (thanks to my sister for influencing us!) singing english songs. personally, like what my friend said, if arashi wasn't around we might have been fangirling these guys. i think they also have the qualities that i loved in arashi (they can sing & dance, got the looks, seems down to earth, good chemistry w/ all the members & more importantly they're also a bunch of idiots!!! XD)
anyway, here are the perfs (i love their in a rush perf!!! but maybe it's because i love the song itself in the first place...hehe!):
i had such a traumatic experience this weekend!! it was one heck of a storm!!!
i knew arashi is currently unleashing it's power in japan but i didn't think it would be that disastrous. i left home for work last saturday w/o any rain but after it poured there was no stopping it. i've worked my way home through several storms but this is the worst i've ever experienced. i went home soaked from head to toe. i treat it as a miracle on how we were able to go home. it was pure luck that there were still some jeepneys offering a ride (we risked riding on one that didn't have brakes!).
i had to walk through raging floodwaters & knee-deep flood to get home. it was soooo exhausting. plus my feet were already starting to get blisters. the whole contents of my bag was soaked (i had to say goodbye to my mp4 player...huhuhu!).
by the time i got home, the water was already near to entering our house so we had to move all our things upstairs. it was a ghastly site to see the other people who were more affected. there were areas where flood reached two-storey high!!! my aunt almost had to climb their roof too & almost all their belongings were ruined by the flood.
but one thing i admire about us filipinos is the ability to smile through almost any situation no matter how serious it may be. my officemate & i who went home together were still making fun of our situation despite being stranded in the pouring rain. and i saw people in the news smiling & even waving to the cameras amidst walking through chest-deep floodwaters!
i just hope those who were gravely affected be given sufficient help & please pray for those who lost their loved ones in this disaster.
be safe everyone!!!
ah ---- i like Hyunjoong too ^^i thinks it will be a great movie because Korea always good with comedy... read more
