cathy gave me a link for the translations of nino's interviews. i found this one really interesting. after reading this i guess i can understand why nino is the nino we know today...hehe! i also realized after reading that he had such a matured perception of things at such an early age. and may i just say that he was born to be Taro after all...haha!

just some parts that really made me laugh:
"And, I could study, if I do say so myself! I never go below a 70 in any subject. Oh, one time I got a 0. That's because I forgot to write my name (smile)."
"On my report card there were three levels, "Let's work harder," "Let's try our best," and "Well done," and I only had one or two "Let's try our bests"s, the rest were all "Well done"s. "Let's work harder" was in tidiness (smile). Even now I'm not good at that."
"Later, when we were deciding the representatives to the student council, I also helped cheer on friend who had announced [his] candidacy. Next to the the friend saying "OO-kun is a good guy, so please vote for him" I was the one saying, like, "that's right, that's right" (smile)."
"My first love? When I was in third grade. She was in another class, and her smile was cute. I'd make up stupid reasons to go and see my male friends in that class so I could go and see her (smile)."
"In June even when the company contacted me, I didn't know what they were talking about, and I thought maybe my sister wanted to join an acting troupe or something (smile). At the time, my [mother] said it was a once in a lifetime experience, so go to the interview. But I wanted to continue the baseball I'd been playing since I was little. So when I was about to refuse because I didn't want to go, my [mother] said she'd give my some pocket money, so I said, "Well, I'll go then." It looks like the key to me going to the interview was my wanting pocket money (smile). At the audition all I did was kind of shake at the back (smile). "
it's the little boy's birthday ne. gomen ne, my sister wasn't able to finish the wallie i asked her to make so i'll probably just post it tomorrow...hehe!
edit post: here are the wallies ^___^
i wonder what the other guys' gifts would be? and what would the little boy be doing on his birthday? do i need to ask that? of course he'll probably busy playing his games if not busy with work..hehe!
but then again, an-chan neeners..don't change ne...stay as cute & as sharp-tongued as you are XD

on a side note, to those who are wondering what happened to the well wishes for sho project, check this link for the updates & finished product: http://rininjapan.livejournal.com/24720.html?view=295824#t295824
it's really kawaii!!!!! i really hope sho gets it & be able to read all of it!
at long last i have already finished watching yamada taro. and it was a bittersweet thing parting with this drama. but i really did enjoy watching it (fangirling & flailing aside..hehe!). i suggest the whole family watch this. it's very heart-warming & touching. i guess both parents & children can learn lessons from it.
episode 9 - taro's dilemma of whether to stay at the mansion or go back to their shabby little home. i can totally relate to his dilemma in this episode. i've faced this kind of dilemma before & still am facing it now. it's hard to choose between your own happiness & the majority's happiness ne. and like taro, most of the time i end up choosing the majority's happiness.
i just love sho's disappointed expressions in this episode! makes me wanna hug him more! and that scene where taro & mimura were talking at the park(?) was just sugoi!!! nino looked mecha kawaii while sho was looking mecha kakkoi (take note: he was just wearing slippers/sandals) in that scene. i've seen a lot of caps & gifs for that particular mimura scene. now i know why they love it XD and the scene where taro (who was then riding a limo already) & mimura entered the school gate together...kyaaaa!!!!
and don't you just love taro's family to the MAXIMUM? such a nice & understanding family ne!
episode 10 - the finale definitely was full of fangirling & flailing for me. it really had that "arashi" feel for me XD. ohno's cameo appearance was really kawaii. there's still ohmiya rabu in the scene ne..haha! too bad his role was too short. i would have liked it if he appeared near the last part too (was hoping he would be the man in charge of the spinning wheel for the lottery).
anyway, all that air guitar scenes definitely ROCKS!!! my tension went really, really high during their air guitar performance. it really was a genki scene. and now we have a new Happiness dance step...hehehe!
touching moment: definitely when taro's siblings tried their luck in the lottery just so they could save money to send their an-chan to america. that scene definitely deserves one big group hug!!! oh and i just adore taro's youngest brother & sister XD
ultimate flailing/fangirl moment: the last scene..the one where nino & sho were wearing a suit as they entered college...kyaaaa!!! sho was wearing pin-striped suit!!! he looked so elite, so handsome, so sho! haha!
well that was my yamada taro experience. and i'm pretty sure i could make pretty good use of the simple lessons i've learned from this drama.
today is the 110th anniversary of my country's independence (trying to be a bit nationalistic here...hehe!) and they're giving free rides on the metros from 7-9am & 5-7pm today. luckily i ride the train at around those times to & from work so i can avail the free ride. yokatta!!! actually i came a bit too early today. i had to wait for 7am before i went inside the station so that i can avail the free ride. it definitely reminded me of yamada taro & the times they had to wait for the tag prices to change before purchasing something...haha! and believe me it ain't easy getting something for free!
so i finished watching episodes 7&8...
episode 7 proved to be yet another "killer nino" episode. he just looked soooo kawaii on the scene where takako was planning on confessing her true feelings to taro. the closeups were mecha kawaii!!! he looked to loveable in that scene. mimura on the other hand also looked kakkoi standing there alone, listening to taro & takako. playing cupid again ne, mimura-kun? XD but i guess sho looked most ikemen in the scene where he was sitting outside, watching the sunset...kyaaa!!! but i was really rofl when mimura made that ugly face during their "meditation" scene. now that was very sho-kun XD
the touching moment for this episode...when taro's siblings realized he deserved a break & when he went back home, everyone was crying & when they saw taro they looked like they saw their savior....awwww!
just when i was thinking how taro's family could let him do ALL the work here comes an episode to prove me wrong. i was getting a bit pissed already at how they kept on depending too much on him for everything. i mean, how can his mom practically not do anything right?! but i guess that compensates on how she was able to bring up her children the right way ne.
i just have a question...did taro really have to get mimura's permission first before going home? what if mimura didn't agree? will he stay? i felt too much taro-mimura rabu on that scene...hahaha!
episode 8...i thought this was going to be a dramatic one but for me it was so-so. i guess the best part for me in this episode was seeing mimura disappointed face. it's the first time ever i saw him so disappointed at something. i'm just not sure if he was disappointed because taro chose to live in that huge mansion or because his classmates weren't able to discover taro's true identity & accept him for who he really is. i guess this is the first episode where i can't recall any touching moment.
we're up to the last 2 episodes! even if i tried to prolong watching this drama it still felt too short for me XD
and i'm still gushing over watching yamada taro. forgive me for being uberly delayed for my flailings...hehe!
anyway, here are some of my reactions/opinions regarding episodes 4-6:
episode 4...the part where taro's dad shows up. forgive me for saying this but his dad looked kinda kowaii at some angles. at certain angles he looks kinda cute, at times he looks too girly but most of the time he reminds me of an elf. no offense...just my opinion. my mom even commented he looks too young to be taro's dad. she thought he was taro's brother...lol.
i was hoping nino or sho would show some of their english speaking skills in this episode as they talked to aaron. i wonder if sho & nino was as snob & stubborn as aaron when they were younger? XD. sho's smirks & secret smiles are just...kyaaaa!!! and nino in that bear costume was just sooooo kawaii!!!! but just like any episode of taro, this episode has that touching moment. the painting that taro's dad left for them & the time when mimura was smiling when isogai & taro made aaron smile was so...awwwww!
episode 5...the yukata episode! honestly sho nearly gave me a heart attack on this episode. his smiles were to die for! the part when mimura suddenly had an idea after looking at takako & then the cam goes for a closeup & he smiled (while biting his lower lip)...BAM! *hyperventilates* i thought i saw an angel then...hahaha! and i think i was also flailing on that scene where he was in the car & he followed takako. taro on the other hand was sooooo protective as a brother. nino was so cute when he sorta felt jealous when he realized his sister already likes a boy. mecha kawaii an-chan!!! and his reaction when a lot of boys surrounded his cute sister...PRICELESS! he looked like a father losing his daughter...haha! and seeing nino sewing...waaahhh!!! i dunno what it is about guys looking domesticated but i find that really cute! XD (touching moment: taro sewing the yukata for his sister & taro doing all their "to-do" lists by himself)
episode 6...this is a certified killer nino episode! taro acting all shy & doki about a girl is so cute!!! the first filming scene of taro...the one where he was asked to put on that shabby costume...the moment nino put on that jacket then slowly turned around...kyaaaaa!!! my sister actually told me "you better warn cathy (nuriko). she's going to be so dead" XD. another killer scene...when takako was imagining the 2 of them on the covers of magazines! dang! nino looked mecha kakkoi in those shots!!!!! i was actually quite doki watching takako & taro "filming" their scenes. and it really reminded me of nino's iwo jima...hahaha! but that was probably their intention ne XD but what was really funny was takako losing the battle against...hamburger! honestly, taro & takako has got such a goodlooking cupid in the person of mimura ne. if only sho could apply that in real life...hahaha! but like what i said, i think the taro-mimura pairing makes even a greater couple than taro-takako one..lol (touching moment: when they divided that mecha umai pancakes equally among them & taro's family ate those little bites with such great smiles)
on a personal note: i think minna should really be able to watch this drama. it's really got this "positive" vibe in it. i mean if all the poor people could act & think like taro's family i don't think there'd be any poor people complaining about their situation. taro's theme song really fits to a T...it's all about HAPPINESS!
anyway, i'm gonna try to watch ep7-8 tonight. the next episode seems funny with mimura doing that crazy facial expression XD. better get my oxygen ready later in case of emergency..haha!
last night i watched episodes 2 & 3 of taro...
cathy told me to blog my reactions to the drama so here i am...
episode 2...nino in a maid's costume...kyaaaa!!!! the scene where nino was cleaning & dancing was so damn hilarious!!! and everytime he changes his voice into a girl's voice...rofl! i tell you, nino was even more refined as a girl than i am XD.
it was more of a nino moment for me on this episode though the thought of sho doing ikebana was like..kyaaaa!!!! (yeah, too much kyaaaa-ing for me on this drama...haha!). and seeing the mischievous mimura was like a relief for his all-too-serious character. i'm guessing sho was having trouble keeping such a straight face in this drama...haha! and everytime mimura laughs at taro, i can actually see the sho who laughs at his fellow members.
episode 3 was a sho moment for me. i'd say sho's reactions here reminded me too much of his reactions in their shows. like when he was beaten in getting the cheap meat...he was like "let me do it again". it reminded me of their boat clip special...it really showed his determination, ne. but there were also some mecha kawaii scenes of nino. the scene where nino caught the girl when she fainted while they were gardening...kyaaa! lucky girl! if nino would only look like that at me!!! and when the girl was imagining that she & nino were dancing waltz...nino looked really cute there!
generally, i do a lot of flailing while watching this drama but despite that i really appreciate the touching scenes not only between taro & his family but between taro & mimura as well. they're really tight ne. and i swear i think mimura has some "hidden desires" for taro...hahaha! i mean just look at the way he stares at him! and i liked it when sho brought presents for taro's family & they were all calling him "mimura an-chan" and treated him like he was already part of their family...awwww! how i wish i had an-chans like mimura & taro XD
by the way...i really like taro's family commandments. anyone has the complete list? let me know ne? hahaha!
dang! i knew watching yamada taro was a bad decision...definitely not good for my health XD
yeah, yeah...we've been putting off watching this drama for a very loooong time already because we were preparing ourselves (mentally & emotionally) for it. but i guess any preparation is still not enough with the powers of The Taro Bros.
my friend & i were flailing non-stop last night. and mind you, we were just on our first episode. the moment sho's eyes appeared on screen i already wanted to shout! yes, just his eyes had that kind of effect on me...poor me...haha! but what really made me jump off my seat was when mimura & taro walked into the campus together. kyaaa!!!!!!
sho was just so kakkoi in that scene. i could imagine him during his highschool & keio days. mimura was so sho-like in a way...elite, snob, yet kind-hearted. it was like sho during the days when he was still hot-tempered & shouting "uruseyo" to screaming fangirls. XD and that piano scene almost made me faint like the school girls in the drama!!!
taro is also very nino-like...cheapskate...haha! but his character is soooo touching. i want a brother like an-chan!!! that koroke episode just tugged at my heartstrings. i think my sister even cried. and may i just say that nino's smile is so dang cute!
i can't wait for the next episode. i think i'll have fits of laughter on this one...hehe! nino in a maid costume XD
and may i just say that i can totally feel sakumiya rabu in this drama! no offense but i'm even more doki watching the two guys together than taro & the girl =P
i just watched this funny clip of nino playing bowling against nakai. i think this was during his Haikei days. i just love nino during his Iwo Jima-Haikei days. for me he looked best then. anyways, nino looked so cute in this clip so i decided to do some caps.
as usual, nino is full of confidence going into the match...
and nuriko, these caps are for you (mecha kawaii!!!)
this was when nakai was teasing him by singing "arashi, arashi..oh dream" XD
just before he took his shot..still full of confidence ne..
and here's nino's shot...
the result...jang jang jang jang...XD
in the end nino's shot only hit 1 pin and his reaction was...
you think he's embarrassed ne...
better think again. nino's ego recovers pretty fast XD
and when it was nakai's turn i think he was asked what he would want to say to his sempai & he said "gambatte nakai". i guess nakai reacted a bit violently that nino seemed to address him so casually so nino said "ah, sumimasen" acting like he's innocent XD
and in case you're wondering about nakai...here's his shot
he got a spare and the sempai had such a victorious look on his face XD
kyaaaa!!!! arashi on potato mag!!! with sakuras!!!! waaahhh!!!!
okay..am in a hurry to get off work now so i cant elaborate more on how tension up i am over these pics but you better check simone's vox coz the boys are mecha mech kawaii!!!
be awed..click here
i was watching an old utaban clip (the one where they danced A.Ra.Shi) yesterday. i know i have the subbed clip for this one but my copy didnt include the part where there was this female aero/yoga instructor (i have to find the complete episode for this!).
well, anyway, i was watching it & i saw sho take off his polo shirt leaving only his wifebeater & thus baring his air muscles! kyaaa! i was like 0_0 when i saw it but when the female instructor began demonstrating what they sould be doing they were the ones who started going 0_0 while watching her belly! and out of the 5, these taro brothers looked oh-so-interested in watching the girl's bellybutton appear & disappear (well, that's aside from nakai whom i think i can almost see his drool...haha!)
.
tsk, tsk, tsk...look at these boys. you'd think they're watching a very serious, informative film with the way they're staring...
and these pic! just look at how big sho-kun's eyes are..and look at nino's mischievous face (it seems he wanted to laugh but was just trying hard not to) cathy, you should spank these boys, ne! XD
